Cuentavi\u00f1as Alomado 2021 is an expression of the terroir of Rioja Alavesa that does not seek to be demonstrative, but authentic. It’s the kind of wine that doesn’t speak loudly to you, but stays with you long after the glass has emptied. <\/p>\n

A project built on patience and conviction<\/h4>\n

The name Cuentavi\u00f1as \u2014 “the one who tells stories” \u2014 is not accidental. For Eduardo Eguren and Carlota Gonz\u00e1lez, wine is not a product, but a conversation between the vine and time. Their philosophy starts from a simple but profound idea: you don’t make wine, you grow it. <\/p>\n

This approach is felt in every detail of Alomado 2021. It is not a wine built to impress, but to faithfully reflect the place it comes from. A sincere interpretation, without artifice, of a terroir with a strong personality. <\/p>\n

Sonsierra: the place where fine balances are born<\/h4>\n

Alomado takes its name from the hilly relief \u2014 lomas \u2014 of the Sonsierra region, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Here, the vineyards stretch along the southern slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, at altitudes that bring coolness and tension to the wine. <\/p>\n

The calcareous, chalk-rich soils provide that mineral backbone that supports the structure, while the influence of the Atlantic brings freshness and elegance. It is a fragile but essential balance \u2014 between maturity and finesse, between intensity and precision. <\/p>\n

The composition of the wine reflects this philosophy: Tempranillo dominates, but is subtly complemented by Viura, Malvasia and Calagra\u00f1o, in a field blend blend that preserves the authenticity of the plot.<\/p>\n

Tasting: between depth and delicacy<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Flavor<\/strong>
The nose opens gradually, without haste. Ripe blackberries, fine spices and a discreet hint of earthiness create a warm and inviting first impression. <\/p>\n

Taste<\/strong>
On the palate, the wine acquires amplitude and finesse at the same time. Raspberries bring freshness, lavender a subtle floral note, and dark chocolate adds depth. Dried thyme accents complete the picture with a discreet Mediterranean elegance. <\/p>\n

Full-bodied but perfectly balanced, with silky tannins that support the wine without dominating it. The texture is fluid, almost tactile. <\/p>\n

Final<\/strong>
Long and precise, with a mineral saline note that lingers and invites a new sip. It is the kind of ending that does not close the experience, but prolongs it. <\/p>\n

Alomado 2021 requires a partner to match, but not complicated. A matured, bone-in ribeye cooked on the grill, along with baked potatoes, is a natural choice. The protein and fat of the meat meet the structure of the wine, and the flavors amplify each other in a natural balance. <\/p>\n
