Between March 28 and 29, communities in the Transylvanian Hills open their doors to visitors and invite the public to a weekend dedicated to nature, local gastronomy and meetings with local people.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For two days, visitors are invited to discover the Transylvanian Hills through hiking, meals prepared in households, visits to villages with Saxon heritage and meetings with craftsmen and local initiatives that contribute to the revitalization of rural communities. “COME to the Hills” is an invitation to slow down and discover a living cultural landscape, where nature, traditions and local people create authentic experiences for those who choose to explore this region. <\/p>\n

Guided walks through the hills<\/h4>\n

The weekend includes guided walks through the hills, forest trails and segments of Via Transilvanica, accompanied by stories about nature, landscape and local people. On Saturday, March 28th, mountain bike enthusiasts have a special tour organized by the Transylvanian Hills team, on the route Media\u0219 \u2013 Nem\u0219a \u2013 Richi\u0219 \u2013 Biertan \u2013 Dupu\u0219 \u2013 A\u021bel \u2013 Richi\u0219 \u2013 Media\u0219. <\/p>\n

For Sunday, Sibiu Transylvania Tour Guide proposes an organized tour that starts from Sibiu, for a hike in the Alma Vii area, the Dianthus Media\u0219 Tourism and Ecology Association has prepared a cleaning tour on the route from Mo\u0219na to Media\u0219 (Sunday, March 29), while the Friends of the Moc\u0103ni\u021ba Association takes the Moc\u0103ni\u021ba for a walk to officially open the season (Sunday, March 29th). 29 March). Visitors arriving in the Hills will be able to participate in lunches and tastings prepared in local households and gastronomic points, where seasonal products, traditional recipes and ingredients from the village gardens are at the center of the experience.<\/p>\n

Local partners who prepare different gastronomic experiences include a whole weekend dedicated to gastronomy and local discoveries (with offer for the weekend of March 28 \u2013 29) at Bassen Pension \u2013 Bazna, matured cheese tastings from Me\u0219endorf at Me\u0219endorf 65 (Saturday, March 28, 2026) and Critz Cross (Sunday, March 29), the discovery of the menu at Colina \u2013 Local Gastronomic Point in V\u00e2n\u0103tori, near Sighi\u0219oara (Saturday, March 28th), menus designed for events at The Dallas Barn also near Sighi\u0219oara (Saturday, March 28th), sweet surprises from the Lolas Inn in Agnita (during the weekend), spring brunch organized by Cincsor. In the spirit of local hospitality, more hosts will open their courtyards, gardens and hills to visitors, offering spaces where they can slow down, sit at the table with the hosts and discover the atmosphere of the places.
