Ceptura Winery signs the acquisition agreement of Caraprodvin, a wine producer from Vartescoiu Commune, Vrancea County.

The Purcari Wineries wine group announces that its Romanian subsidiary, Ceptura Winery, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of CaraprodVin SRL. The transaction is conditional on meeting standard legal and regulatory requirements.

The transaction includes the primary winemaking platform and wine production facilities, located in Vartescoiu Commune, Vrancea County – 33.18 hectares of vines within the Vrancea wine region.

“Vrancea is the most important wine region in Romania in terms of grape production, famous for its white grape varieties and distinct terroir. This acquisition marks the first operational presence of Ceptura Winery in the region, ensuring direct access to local sources of quality grapes and complementing the Group’s recent expansion in Dealu Mare. Together, these steps reflect a deliberate approach to build a diversified and vertically integrated Romanian wine platform, anchored in two of the most important appellations in the country,” the company says.

Purcari Wineries representatives say they intend to invest in the purchased facilities to develop a modern primary winemaking platform.

“Vrancea is recognized as one of the most important wine regions in Romania, especially for its white grape varieties and the distinct character it expresses. Through this acquisition, we intend to invest in the local platform, build adequate infrastructure for primary winemaking and grow together with the region”, said Victor Bostan, Founder and CEO Purcari Wineries.

Production platforms in Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria

Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (with the brands: Purcari, Cramă Ceptura, Bostavan, Bardar, Domeniile Cuza and Angel’s Estate) manages approximately 2,000 hectares of vineyards and operates seven production platforms in Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria.

Purcari Wineries is the leader of the premium wine segment in Romania and the largest wine exporter in the Republic of Moldova, delivering to over 40 countries.

Since February 2018, the Group has been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the symbol WINE. Purcari Wineries was founded by Victor Bostan and is majority-owned by Maspex Romania S.R.L., part of the Maspex Group, one of the 100 largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe and the leader of the beverage industry in Poland, with a history of over 35 years, over 70 brands, operations in more than 80 countries and over 10,000 employees.
