A rare edition returns after five years and redefines elegance for Feteasca Neagră in Transylvania.
TITAN bat is that rare expression that only appears when nature, time and human decision align perfectly. After an absence of five years, Crama Liliac brings back to the fore the 2023 edition, a wine that marks not only a comeback, but also a maturation of style.
A wine that is not in a hurry
First launched in 2013, the TITAN range was conceived as an expression of the exceptional — a wine produced exclusively in vintage years. The previous editions, 2015 and 2018, confirmed this principle of rigorous selection.
The 2023 vintage continues this philosophy, but also brings a new dimension: it is the first edition signed by Ghislain Moritz, French consultant and Head of Production of the winery, who joined the team in 2022.
Transylvania, reinterpreted through Fetească Neagră
Coming from the vineyards of the Lechința area, the wine reflects the specificity of a special terroir: the altitude of 576 meters, the sandy-clay soils and the southern exposure contribute to the shaping of a complex but balanced aromatic profile.
The winemaking process follows the same line of refinement: fermentation in Transylvanian oak barrels and long maturation, meant to provide depth and capacity for evolution.
The result is a Fetească Neagră that expresses itself differently — more precise, more elegant, with a clear emphasis on finesse and structure.
Sensory profile: between intensity and balance
Aromatically, the wine opens with notes of prunes and ripe black fruits, complemented by fine vanilla accents.
On the palate, the texture is ample and velvety, and the balance between fruit, acidity and tannin creates a coherent, memorable experience. It is a wine built not for immediate impact, but for evolution.

The philosophy behind this wine is expressed by the team that creates it. “TITAN is not a wine that we plan every year, but rather that we are waiting for. We produce it only when the vineyard and nature manage to intertwine and bring something really valuable. I was here at the first edition in 2013 and I saw what it means to meet all the conditions to come out with a truly unique wine. I was happy to see how it came back in 2015, then in 2018 and then I waited with enthusiasm and emotions, because it took a little more time to get another precious edition. For me, TITAN means patience and trust, in nature, in the team and in this absolutely magical place. Although I wasn’t born in Transylvania, here I learned what balance means. And TITAN actually tells a story about exactly that, but also about doing things when everything is well prepared”, says Miron Radic, CEO of Crama Liliac.
Unlock the Rare: a concept, not just a slogan
The “Unlock the Rare” concept emphasizes exactly this nature of wine: controlled access, authentic value, intentionally built experience. The presentation reflects the same attention to detail — Bordeaux glass, hand-burned logo and a genuine leather emblem made in over 80 hours of work.
Liliac TITAN Fetească Neagră 2023 is not a wine for everyday consumption. It is a wine of context — of carefully chosen table, of association with dishes such as lamb, game or aged cheeses.
Served at 15–18°C, it gradually reveals its layers, confirming that patience is part of the experience.
