With the help of George Business, the smart banking platform for SMEs and large companies, entrepreneurs have real-time access to financial data, support in strategic decision-making and better operational control.

With the help of this banking platform, administrators, management teams and financial departments can manage the activity of the company or a group of companies from one place, through multi-level approval flows, with the possibility of confirming payments and banking operations in a secure and transparent way.

George Business includes functionalities for configuring users and access rights, authorizing signatures, managing multiple accounts and administering cards, with 100% online access to:

  • trade finance instruments, including letters of guarantee and import letters of credit;
  • the financial analysis module, Financial Health, which provides real-time visibility on the company’s rating and key financial indicators;
  • transfers in lei and foreign currency, interbank and intrabank, including multiple payments through files that can contain up to 25,000 individual transactions;
  • factoring products;
  • Managing and liquidating deposits directly from the platform.

George Business tools provide real-time visibility

“We are launching George Business at a time of acute need for clarity, anticipation and discipline in execution. Entrepreneurs and companies in Romania need tools that give them real-time visibility, to understand where they are, what’s next and how to react. George Business starts from this reality and what it means today to be prepared for anything: data, consistency and a support system that works at scale.

The platform was developed together with BCR’s customers, starting from their concrete needs, and we will continue to work alongside them to develop new functionalities and relevant services. Through George Business, we are fully opening the George ecosystem in Romania, and this step reconfirms our confidence in local companies and their potential to grow, integrate into European value chains and create competitive advantage”, said Sergiu Manea, CEO of Banca Comercială Romanian.

“George Business is the new way we do corporate banking in BCR. It is not about banking services and products available on a screen, but about how we rethought the way companies in Romania have access, in real time, to financial data, operational control and a better ability to react.

Through George Business, our goal is to develop a simple and intuitive platform that works equally well for a growing entrepreneur, but also for a large organization, with complex processes and multiple levels of decision-making. Basically, we team up for the business environment, offline and online, 24/7, regardless of the size of the companies and the industry in which they operate. Because in business, being prepared for anything doesn’t mean that things will be easy. But it means that you have the right data, tools and partners to be able to anticipate and not be taken by surprise,” said Bogdan Cernescu, Executive Director of Corporate Banking BCR, Head of George Business.

11,000 BCR corporate customers already use George Business

Approximately 11,000 BCR corporate clients, SMEs and large companies, already use George Business, and the platform:

  • It has more than 24,000 users, who upload more than 15,000 payment files monthly;
  • processes transactions of €12 billion monthly, equivalent to approximately 3% of Romania’s GDP;
  • It generates 1.2 million bank statements per month, with an average of 40,000 statements per day.

For SMEs, George Business means streamlined operations, visibility into financial indicators and a clear picture of the health of the business. For large companies with complex structures, extensive financial departments and trade finance needs, George Business offers control, traceability and operational efficiency.

The customer migration process, through which George Business gradually replaced the eBCR and 24Banking BCR corporate banking applications, ended at the end of 2025 and lasted approximately two years. During this period, George Business has developed with the help and involvement of BCR’s corporate clients, who have provided support in finalizing the experience and the portfolio of functionalities in the platform.
